Here are some pointers for doing yoga at home.

Regular Exercise at Home

You may reach your greatest potential through yoga on all levels—physical, mental, emotional, and energetic. It is intended to be practiced every day at home, preferably first thing in the morning, to ensure that you are at your best in all respects when you go about your daily activities outside.

It is recommended in the yogic tradition to practice yoga for at least a mandala on a daily basis. A mandala is a roughly 40-day span of time that the human body uses to finish one physiological cycle. You can thoroughly establish the yoga practice on all levels—body, mind, and energy—and receive the advantages of practicing yoga at home for one mandala.

Mornings and Evenings

Yoga can cause the body to become extremely heated, or ushna. It states, "If the temperature outside is high and the ushna rises beyond a certain point, it will cause cellular damage." Thus, it's ideal to practice every day in the morning and evening when it's cooler outside.

An Area of Practice

When beginning yoga at home, it is best to set aside a space. When you practice yoga in the same area every day, that area takes on an energy or quality that supports your inner development.

Turn on an oil lamp. More than just adding light and aesthetic appeal, oil lamps infuse your house with a wholesome, energizing environment. It will improve your yoga practice no end if you light a lamp before you practice at home.

3-foot Free of Movement Radius

The human body is acknowledged in yoga as a microcosm of the greater cosmic macrocosm. Yogasana practice is about bringing your system's geometry into alignment with the cosmic geometry. There must be enough room for your energies to flow when such a strong process is in progress. Maintaining a 3-foot radius where there is no movement is ideal.

Distraction-Free: Music and phones

Your goal as a yoga practitioner is to turn your focus within, toward your own inner creative source. If you wish to practice yoga at home, noises that draw your focus outward, like music, are a distraction. Keeping your phone in silent mode or off is also advised. This time, it should be all yours!
